February 16, 2021 By KarenH Leave a Comment

Compassion to prayersThe last few nights I have awakened in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep. Think. Think. Think. Once my mind started, it wouldn’t stop as I thought of various friends, family and situations that were in chaos.

What we do with that concern determines whether we are just going fret and worry or if we are going to let it catapult us to effective action.

How can we turn heart-felt compassion for others, for our nation, or our family, friends and loved ones who are going through difficult seasons to reach breakthrough?

Here are some important steps: [Read more…] about How to Turn Compassion into Effective Prayer

America: Get Off the Yellow Brick Road

February 6, 2021 By KarenH 7 Comments

America Get Off the Yellow Brick RoadTruth be told we are living a modern-day version of “The Wizard of Oz.” America, we need to get off the yellow brick road.

The classic children’s story featured four primary characters all in a place of great need:

The cowardly lion.

This Isn’t Over (and How We can Know That)

January 12, 2021 By KarenH 76 Comments

It's Not OverIn the last few days, I have been called all sorts of unprintable names and labeled an insurrectionist. Why? Because my eye-witness account of what transpired at the Capitol Building on Jan. 6 goes completely against what the media fed us in their skillfully edited live newsfeed.  I have received threats to be “turned in” sadly, by some who call themselves by the name of Christ.

The Bible warned us this day was coming. [Read more…] about This Isn’t Over (and How We can Know That)

We Need to Be A Pansy

December 9, 2020 By KarenH Leave a Comment

Be a pansyYes, I meant to say, “Be a pansy.” Not a pansy as in one who is weak. But a pansy as in the hybrid flower that thrives in winter.

Why? Because we are in a winter season. [Read more…] about We Need to Be A Pansy
